** My Favorite Jimmy **

Here's a listing of some (but not nearly all) of my favorite albums by Jimmy Buffett. For those of you who don't know, Jimmy is the songster of the beach. He sings of boats, bars, sun and fun. His fans (of which there are legion) are referred to as "Parrotheads" because they like to dress up in bright colors and Hawaiian shirts.

What is a Parrot Head?

The "LEGEND" goes that the term ParrotHead was coined at a Cincinnati, Ohio concert when Jimmy looked out on the colorfully dressed crowd and remarked they looked like Deadheads. Someone in the band piped up and said no...they had to be Parrot Heads...and it stuck!

You might be a ParrotHead if.........

• You have an addiction to tropical drinks and Mexican beer with limes.
• Your favorite kitchen appliance is a blender.
• A margarita is not just a drink, but a state of mind.
• You've developed a passion for steel drums.
• You've become violently allergic to cold weather.
• You're searching for that one particular harbor.
• You consider a vacation in Key West a pilgrimage.
• You feel compelled to wear strange Caribbean costumes.

Or, you might be a ParrotHead if....

1. Wearing socks and shoes makes you feel over-dressed.
2. You'll buy anything with a parrot on it.
3. Your favorite meal is a cheeseburger in paradise.
4. You're more concened about Bubba being shot at in Jamaica than with any other current events.
5. You're takin' care to look for sharks.
6. You're over drawn on your Bank of Bad Habits card.
7. You imagine your boss with a peg leg and an eye patch.
8. Your favorite bumper sticker says " Jimmy Buffett for President."

Here's the list of my favorite discs. You can see that I favor the "older" Jimmy rather than the newer more "marketed" Jimmy.
